I agree that it's a lot of practice and it really does come from the shaping of the bow after it's tied off. You have to adjust each loop to get them to look uniform.

I agree with a everyone. I use cardboard templates. After I sew through and tie it off, I put my fingers through the top and the bottom and pull. Then I spray the heck out of it with hairspray to keep the shape. HTH

I started stiffening the bows with hairspray--works well, dries quickly (quicker with a blow dryer, if you are really in a hurry!) and smells good!

You can adjust your loops before they are tied off, maybe if you posted a pic we could see what your doing wrong.

Simple doesn't always mean easy.

In my experience even the simple bows take a lot of practice.
