Do you still have to bake them when you use hairspray?

Thanks. I learned the importance of stiffening when my korkers dropped. Will be buying some hairspray ASAP!

do I use just plain old liquid starch them or is there are mixture?

There is also a product called Stiffy that you can get at HL. It is a fabric stiffener. I used it on some ribbon I had gotten that was toooo flimsy and it made it too stiff. You could almost break it into lol. I diluted it about half and it did much better. I haven't tried it yet but read that you can dilute it and use a fine mister to spray the hairbows. Have any of you used this??

Ige tried that, when using stiffen stuff you have to dilute it or it tends to clog the sprayer. I tend to do a 50-50 mixture with water then putnit in a cheap spray bottle from walmart. Orr i use the cheap stay-flo from walmart. Both work great. And the spray starch is good too.

I've read something on here before about using Potato starch, but I have no idea where to find that, or how to mix it.

What great ideas. I too, was confused about the "baking." I like the idea of using the hairspray as being quick and simple.

I don't always stiffen my bows unless requested and I do it after the bow is put together.
