Default No Sew Paci Clips with Velcro Closure... Question?

I'm making some no sew paci clips (I'm horrible with a sewing machine!) and I bought the velcro that you iron on for the closure and the directions say to iron (with steam setting) for 90 seconds in order to adhere permanently to the ribbon. I'm letting it cool completely, but the velcro still wants to come up slightly... Anyone now what to do? I'm wanting to make one for my daughter as a stocking stuffer Thanks so much!

i personally don't trust/like velcro's glue and usually hand/machine sew on velcro. i've tried "wet" glues and that soaks into the front and still doesn't hold 'cause of the pulling action to separate the velcro.

i've never tried this . . . but there's some heat & bond ultra http://www.joann.com/joann/catalog/p...RODID=prd49052

you may have trouble w/your sewing machine needle gunking up going thru the glue if you do decide to sew . . . so i'd suggest getting velcro w/out glue . . . to be 100% sure it won't come off.

Thanks for getting back to me! I think I'm actually going to try to go with the snaps... That might be easier all around! I'm a terrible sewer and you don't have to sew those, plus they seem to be sturdy Thank you!

Just remember that some larger snaps won't fit through the hole on some binks. I bought a bunch of snaps for these, and the very first one I made, the lady pulled out the green jelly paci that they use in hospitals, and the snap wouldn't fit through the hole. She showed me hers, it was velcro that she could smoosh through the hole and then fasten.

Hand sewing the velcro down isn't super hard, and if you've already finished the clip, the two minutes it would take with thimble and needle will complete it .
