Default Ribbon Wrapping Headbands

Hi ladies,

I'm hoping that I can get some advice.

I bought 1/2" wide headbands and I'm trying to wrap 5/8" double face satin around it, but my ribbon keeps wrinkling. Am I using the wrong size ribbon for this size headband? Am I just wrapping it on the wrong angle?

I just used 3/8" grosgrain to wrap a headband and it did seem to work better... I just don't have any 3/8" satin.

I wrap my headbands in material that I cut into strips. The strip isn't straight so can vary from about 5/8 to an inch wide if I'm having a bad day lol I just find you have to get the tension right when wrapping. I sometimes get wrinkles on the inside but don't worry about that coz you don't see that when it's being worn.
