Default my first attempt at Tsumami Kanzashi!

ok.. so for a first attempt i think i did ok.. and it wasnt as tedious as i thought it would be.. i used 1 1/2 grossgrain so thats prolly heavier and harder to keep the fold than the lighter fabric they use.. and i used fabric tac rather than the rice glue or whatever.. the petals are not all even but hopefully i can manage better my next try..

That looks really cute! OK. so this is the first I've seen/heard of this (beside the other thread michelle posted) So this is just a ribbon/fabric technique of folding.

What is the center of your flower? I think it's very clean looking. I wonder if a fabric covered button would look cute

Great job for your first try, I can't even figure out the concept (how sad is that!!)

oh yes.. a fabric covered button would def look much better!

i just used what i saw in grabbing distance lol so i could cover up the middle and show my sister online
i actually used um.. i snipped one of my daughters ponytail thingies hah its one of those plastic little balls on the ends.. thats all
i will def have to find something better when i make one for her to wear

i used this video tutorial..

Looks great. I was going to try one tonight but the little one did not want to go down. I'm sure my first attempt will look no where near as good as yours!

Did you heat seal the ribbon squares?
It still looks very complicated.
You did a great job...
Can't wait to see more of your work
