New Sewing Machine Addict!

Ok, I've made 12 (yes, 12) pillowcase dresses in the last week or so. My dear mama gave me her 20 year old, never used sewing machine and taught me how to use it. I've been practicing really hard, and I am in LOVE with these dresses. It was warm here in GA this afternoon so I took some pictures of my princess wearing them and wanted to share...she is such a ham for the camera!

SORRY the pics are HUGE! I didn't want to sit here trying to shrink them....too lazy....

Great work! Your DD is a cutie and the dresses are cute! I love the one with the frog print on it. I am guessing some cute little girl is going to wear a lot of pillowcase dresses this summer

They really aren't very hard to make, just a matter of getting used to it, like everything else. I've not used actual patterns (don't know how yet, either) but I've been using measurements. For the first one, I just measured my dd for the length and added 1/4 inch for seams, and cut at 19 inches for the width. The only thing that's taken any time is when the sewing machine trips up and I have to figure out what's wrong.

It can be soooo addictive when you create anything that someone can wear that also looks cute. You definitely have the "bug". Good job.

okay...not only is dd too cute posing, the dresses are adorable...but she is outside and not in a snow suit, lol! I am jealous! It is 21 degrees here!
