~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
In between chasing after all the kiddos, I made my first loopy bow:
I like it a lot although those things sure take a bunch of ribbon! Now I need to make my daughter something to wear it with...
I also made another chick and bunny:
I have instructions made up for them that I can post if you guys think anyone would be interested.
In honor of making a new bow hanger, I took a pic of it:
It's just a 1x2 board since I needed the hanger itself to take up minimal space and leave more room for bows. I painted it, put an eye at the top to hang it with, and wove some brown and pink ribbon together to wrap around it to decorate it. It has a brown and pink bow too - doesn't match the bathroom, but I had a ton-and-a-half of brown ribbon that was perfect for the four hanging ribbons for the bows. Before you ask, yes I do need to start attending Bowaholics Anonymous meetings. "Um, ... hello my name is Tonya ... and I'm addicted to ribbon."
Hmmmm... now what can I go make? I guess I should be folding laundry or something useful, though...
My dd wants me to make the chick. They are both very cute (as well as your loopy bow)
That bow holder is exactly what my dd needs for the grands! I have to show her this! Her dad in law can do the wood. Gee, I wonder where she'd get the ribbon?
I used these instructions: Free Loopy Hair Bow Instructions: loopy bubble bows hairbows, free directions and threw in a bit of tulle and bling just to have fun with it.
Let's see... it's got 7 main ribbons with 4 others and a little tulle that just show up in a couple of other places.
They aren't hard at all - my biggest problem was a bit of pain (I'm pre-carpal-tunnel) from holding it while I wrapped the wire. I'll be making more for sure! Just have to make sure I have my wrist warmer thingys on next time.
