Cupcake Pants Gone Bad

Ok Rene...here they are...There are lots and lots of flaws, but, I did it, I got the practice and the overalls were only $2 at Goodwill As you can see, I originally painted Sweet on the leg and decided I didn't like it Abby can still wear them around though... My machine and I were getting to know each other today. Rene, I'm going to email you a question about basting It's been a pain!!

I am impressed. I think those turned out great for a get to know session. If that's get to know then I can't wait to see your creations after the "marriage"! You did very good. My hat is off to you.

Let's hope we stay together...LOL...I told hubby today..I should have spent $1000 and got a really good machine and I thought he was going to faint
I just got this machine (well my other business bought it for me) and then he just got me a really great camera for Christmas. I think he's afraid ...ha ha ha!!

With creations like that you will be well on your way togetting a new machine. My first machine was the 270 D and then I got my second on closeout.

I have to mention I love the fabric you chose. I also looked at the post from December 18 on down time. That was time well spent. That cupcake clippie will look oh so cute with these overalls.

Wow! Look what you did! What a great start you made!

By the way, hubbies don't bat an eye with prices of golf clubs, hunting and fishing equipment (includes a boat with trailer) and all the things that go with them: green fees, licenses, special clothing, etc. Not to mention the food and drink that goes with it!

You're so sweet!! I've actually sold all my cupcake clippies and have orders for two more!! I do have to make Abby one to go with these though, it'll take away from my painting fiasco Rene, I sent you an email. I also read your post about the thread. Very informative for me. I went out and bought all this expensive embroidery thread, and you know I just seem to have better luck with the all purpose stuff. I don't get it I found that fabric on clearance at JoAnn's. It's all I could find that had the cupcake cutie colors. BTW...Abby got every single shirt from that line for Christmas from her aunt. I can't wait to put it with my overalls!!

I forgot to mention, I also have my MIL's old Singer Fashion Mate!! I was thinking about getting a ruffler foot for it and just leaving it set up. I also have a baby lock serger that I love!! Got a ridiculously great deal on it on Ebay. Someone who never used it!!

LOL!! With my hubby...his only vice is that everything has to be Sony, all shirts have to be Polo brand... and you're right! However, I am a little spoiled, but only because he works 80 plus hours a week Thanks for the compliment though!

I am loving those! I love the Easter fabric layered with the pink gingham -and all the bows. Too cute. I love bows and gingham, oh and toile. I am going to have to get me some Easter fabric. I bought some valentine's day fabric the other day at Walmart.

I always go through about a 2-week period of getting-to-know you time with a 'new' sewing machine. We each want to do things our own way and it takes a bit to learn to work as a team.
