shoe string hair bow

How about doing a loopy clip with shoe strings instead of ribbon? I think that would be really cute.

those used to be popular back when i was younger. i remember i had a rainbow tiedye style one. all it is, is loops with thread or wire inbetween the loops and looped around the french clip.

I use to have a couple of those when I was younger too. Yep, they are done just like the loopy bows. I was suppose to make some for my niece but I've never got a chance to.

It seems ladies that it is coming back my sister-in-law wants me to make one for her dd and my dd who is 12 wants one in school colors to wear to the football games. If I can't make them will one of you make one that i can puchase from you for them. I am just getting the bow down good I haven't had good luck with the loops just yet Thanks for the great tips I hope that I can get them down thanks ladies

Before I ever tried my hand a bow making, a bought a a three pair set of shoelace bows at Wal-Mart for my daughter. They were tiny flower loops (one layer) with glittery appliques in the centers & attached to tiny French clips. The shoe laces were the round style. They were really cute for pigtails, even if they were not lovingly made by a crafter.
