I don't really know how to make it better but I will offer that I think that the star is out of scale for the tree and is too big. I like the basic concept...just don't know how to improve upon your idea. Sorry I can't really help.

Hi I am new to this board. I hope you dont mind me giving a suggestion. I love the concept, especially using the swiss dot green. What about trying to use tiny swiss dot green spikes underneath the current tree shape you have. This would give it more of a traditional tree shape and would probably bring your star back in line with the overall size.

It's a great concept but you also need more tree IMO. Think the movie NL Christmas Vacation verses A Charlie Brown Christmas- your tree is a little "skinny" I think I would add to each roll to makr it a little fuller. To accomplish this I would take whatever width ribbon you are using to make your "roll" and take a 2 inch or whatever length and lay it horizontal in front of you. Glue your rolls to the straight ribbon they adhere to your clip. In a sense what I mean in you will be making a triangle base and glueing the rolls on to that therefore being able to make the tree a little fuller and losing the "skinny" I hope that made sense and HTHs . Keep going you are off to a great start.
