I didn't buy any instructions, I just played with the ribbon until I figured it out. I know there are instructions available, and I hear they are great. There is a utube video that may help you out. I watched it after I had made ny first few, and it didn't really give me any more info than what I had already learned, but it may help you! It's a 2 part video, so here are the links...

They look wonderful!! I so want to make those, guess Im going to have to order some headbands. Im just so impatient, maybe I will checkout our local craft store see if there are any in the wedding section.

Very nice! I've made quite a few of those too!
To me the hardest part is taking a good picture of it. Maybe I need a better camera for close ups.
Oh, I bought some instructions for the military braided type...those are way cute too!!

I just started making headbands last night... they are *so* much fun!!! I bought the instructions from LCOB. Lorraine does a great job showing how it's done.
