has anyone embroideryon ribbon? what kind of stablizer do you use i did one last night i used sticky back and had to float a piece underneath to keep bottom thread from coming through to top kinda looked puckered

TRUST ME I embroider on ribbon everyday...and the best thing to use is Heavyweight tearaway Cap backing (used for embroidering on baseball caps) it makes the ribbon so stable that you can embroider right up to the edge! you can buy it from a supplier in packs of 50 sheets and you can use one sheet to embroider several ribbons.

I have been wanting to try embroidery on my ribbon but it always puckers up really bad. I will have to buy some of that!!

Could someone explain to me how to embroider without using the hoop that attaches to the machine or how to do it without a hoop? I just bought a machine and have no experience. Any help would be appreciated.

You can buy some sticky spray called 505 and use that on just about anything. By using this you don't have to hoop it, you just have to hoop your stabilizer. I love it

Also, try embroidering on a lower speed and see if that helps. It may all the difference to me! Theresa
