My first completed pair of flip flops...

In Your honest, brutal truth, what can I do to make these better? I think they are lacking something, but can't put my finger on it. I think it needs something more to the straps, but the ribbon would be too much! Bling? Help me out ladies. Oh, BTW, this is my first completed pair ever, so I know they're not the best!

Had to add the picture of my dd. Do you see the look on her face?!? She's not even one yet, and thats the look I got when I told her I had to put the ribbon away! LOL

They look great to me! what if you added something pink to the top that would bring out some of teh pink in the bottom butterfly swirly ribbon....?

Pink. I think I'll do that. Like a light satin pink? Hmmmm... let me go through my ribbon. My oldest dd is about to confiscate these. I told her she needs to make her own pair with me, that lasted about 3 minutes (she's 10). She'll make her own barretts for her and her friends, but not so much with the tulle, Tulle drives her nuts! LOL

They were super easy, but really time consuming! I cut the tulle into strips, double tied 4 on at a time, added some purple satin ribben every once in a while, the put a strip of velvet ribbon to the underside, so the foot doesn't get irritated! added the ribbon around the side... and there you have it.
Now for the pink.......

I LOVE them. I do think maybe a bit of pink on the top would help tie in the pink on the bottom.

I honestly think they are great now, but some hot pink accents wouldn't hurt! (I doubt a light pink would show up much.)

I really like the tulle flip flops, I tried making some for my DD, but have only gotten 1 flop done. I'll get around to finishing the other one.... eventually My DD dosen't wear flip flops so I thought making some cool ones might change her mind Any who, I love the expression on your DD face like "aw mom do we have to put the ribbon away?" Precious!
