as i stated in my comment, I don't mind paying extra, but would like to know the breakdown. I sorry if you got offended, but that is only fair to us. I do appreciate you helping us out and i am very appreciate that. I would of still done the group buy if you charged $2 for suppies and your time. But knowing what your paying for is also important. Thanks again!

when i got the ribbon i planned on rolling it w/ the drill--but i wasnt talented enough for that. so i bought baggies to put the ribbon in. i dont think i should have to pay for the 600 baggies by myself--sorry!! when people dont coordinate group buys -- they dont think about the little things that the coordinator uses--paper to wrap the boxes that I got together from my pantry and diapers so I could save you a little on not having to buy a box, tape, ink, paper--these things slowly add up!!

i didnt not charge the shipping on the first invoice bc i had no idea what the shipping was going to be! i stated that over and over again when we first started the buy!! you did get the 30% off-on the first invoice. i worked hard on getting totals correct.

sorry--some of these response make me anger!!!

The shipping from me to you is $6.31!!! and then you paid 54 cents for shipping from the company to me! and then some for supplies. i am not trying to take any money from anyone!

pm'ed you

pm'ed you

pm'ed you

your shipping was $7.05, and then $1.44 from the comp to me, and then the supplies. as you can see--the majority was the shipping to you--not me taking anything extra. i stated the shipping from the company to me was not included in the first invoice. if the $1.50 is too much for supplies than i am sorry. i really think it is fair considering the money i have spent on getting the tape, paper, and baggies and then ALL MY TIME!!!

I'm sorry, this is why I was scared to post this in the first place. I mean I DID pay you before I even posted! It wasn't my intention to offend you. This is my first group buy,(besides the cloth diaper one) and I just got lost in all the payments/bills.

I think you can relate to people being leery to give money to people they don't even know. We were all taking a leep of faith, just as you were for putting it on your credit card and being stuck with ribbon from people with non payment. You did put this on your credit card, but we all paid you right? So you shouldn't be charged interest for things that you have already paid for right? As long as you pay your bill before the statement hits, you will not accrue interest. You only accrue interest when you don't pay a portion of the balance. I believe we had all paid you on time, so this should be a non issue.

I'm sorry if you feel offended because I questioned $9.50 shipping cost for $10 worth of ribbon. Now that you have broken it down, which is all that I asked for I am ok. Because at the end of the day, if you divide it by the 60 yards of ribbon that I bought, i'm still coming out slightly better than if I would have bought it in the store.

I think you are taking this the wrong way. We are (I am at least)
very appreciative for all of your hard work. I am ok now, like I said.... I sent you the payment before I even posted my questions about this yesterday. I was just curious how everything got broken down in the end. That's all.

Thank you again for all of your hard work. I can't wait to receive the ribbon!

This is my first group buy and I think Rachel is being very nice about this. She did put it all together. She said up front that we would be paying for shipping to her and to ourselves. She deserves respect for all she has done. I don't think it would be that easy to cut all the ribbon and get it ready to ship to all of us with her already busy life. Sorry that some of you are upset by what shipping is, but if you order from RABOM and it is $10 worth, it is $5 for shipping. She had to cut everyones ribbon herself. Some of these other places have many people who can cut the ribbon. I think anyone who has a problem with the costs should just keep it to themselves.

Rachel, thank you for doing this group buy. I can't wait to receive the ribbon.

I agree. She did state that we would be getting a seperate invoice for shipping from the supplier to her and then from her to us. Also we all know that paypal charges fees so ofcourse she is not going to take care of that cost. I really appreciate all that she did to organize this buy. There was a lot of work that went into this buy such as keeping up with everyones changes and additions. I know I changed my several times and I know others did as well. She even let us order in small increments and thus more cutting and measuring on her part. I do think it is fine to ask what was included in the final invoice but it could have been asked in a nicer manner. That is just my opinion. I think if you simply would have asked for a breakdown Rachel would have had no problem sending that info to you.

Rachel like I have said several times. Thanks again for organizing this buy. You have done a great job.

Rachel-

THANK YOU SO MUCH for doing this buy for us! I really appreciate it!! To be honest, I don't even know what I paid you! I just sent the payment!!

But..I have organized one other buy before. I went through 2 rolls of packing tape, made a few trips to the post office, used my paper and ink... it all adds up!

I was shocked when I saw of the shipping totals for people who ordered from me. I felt really bad. But, there was nothing I could do. plain and simple...postage has gone up!! by a lot, it seems

THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!

Jenn

thanks for the credit card lesson--but i know how they work. like i stated in the pp--the shipping from the company to me (about $70) was not paid until now. so see--thats the interest i was talking about.

you could have pm'ed me and it might not have bothered me so much. but to me--the post made me feel like you thought i wasnt honest and it hurt my feelings. i worked hard on this buy. the people that only ordered 70-100 yds---probably didnt get as good as a deal as most of the others that ordered 400-600 yds! but either way--we all got a great deal! i just thought people knew enough about group buys to realize that there are other expenses that need to be paid.

Thank you so much!!!

Also w/ RABOM--she is making money off that ribbon!! I am not!! i did this buy out of the kindness of my heart and because i know that the more products/supplies we can get at a cheaper price--the more we make in the end! i did enjoy this buy as we got great prices! i just got my feelings hurt by some people more less saying i was cheating them. that may not have been what you were impling--but that is how i read it!!!

I'm really honestly sorry that my post had hurt your feelings it wasn't my intention.

I think from the beginning I had read the original post wrong, or maybe I was getting it confused with the diaper buy that I thought you had charged the shipping to you in the first amount and invoice in the 2nd one for our shipping. Maybe this is how I got confused. I should probably read that one again to make sure too now that I think about it lol

Anyway I'm sorry and thank you for doing this buy.

Rachel - Thank you for doing this buy & putting all this together. I know it took a lot of work & coordination. Even though the shipping may seem high, when you look at the whole scheme of things, it is still better than going to the store and getting the ribbons.
