1&1.com Web Hosting Help!

I have been checking out 1&1.com because I saw someone here suggest it a while back.... They currently have a deal that has free webhosting for the first 3 months and then only $4.99 a month after that... and it includes 2 domains!

This seems too good to be true, LOL... and I was wondering if anyone with a little more knowledge than me might look at it and see if this deal would be good for a basic website to sell my bows on... I am kind of thinking sounds great, but what's the catch? I don't see a catch though!

Can anyone help me out? There are only offering this deal for 4 more days.

wow! That sounds great. I was the one who recommended 1and1. I bought a domain for like $6 last year, but haven't gotten as far as building a website. I wish I could help, but I am clueless when it comes to websites and such. I would love to hear any other comments though...

I just looked at it. My $6.99 was per year and that was just for a domain. It sounds like the $4.99 a month is a great deal! it looks like you just need to sign up for 1 year (I think the 3 months is included in that). I don't know if everything you need to build a website is included in that package. That is because I don't know what you all need...

how many pages can your website be? do they have a shopping cart? if so, how many pages and/or items can you have for your products? do they have any decent free website templates? do they have an editor to make doing your own website easy or would you have to hire someone?

Good advice. You will also want a GREAT customer service department. I can't tell you how many times I have asked questions from my host (of course I was one without any working knowledge of how to build a website).

hmm... I don't see anything about a shopping cart... would the number of pages be subdomains? or is that different? so confused! LOL...

Looking at the 1&1 website again... there is a tab at the top that says "eshops"... I think that is more what I am looking for.... maybe the deal I was asking about before is more for an informational website?
