Thanks everyone for your feedback. The payments and Transaction button shouldn't be viewable to everyone. That's meant to be a private page for me to use for some paypal transactions. The button was supposed to be hidden in the navigation bar. I'm hosted through GoDaddy.com and I'm really not happy with the site and services, so I'm looking for a new hosting services. As soon as I find someone else to host with, I'll make the changes that you guys have mentioned. The pictures load really fast for me, but I have DSL, so I'm looking into a way to resolve that.

Thanks again for all your input.

I had GoDaddy too for website hosting and I was really unhappy. It was super slow (and I have a cable modem). After reading some on these forums, I decided to go with WAHMShoppes. I purchased a template and I love it. So much easier to work with...a little scary at first, but I'm so much more happy with them.

Another: the lime green font hurts my eyes to read. I am 26, and don't need glasses. Those who do have seeing issues may not want to try to read and would move on to the next site.

I like the banner and the stripes, but I would change the plain pink background to white, because it is hard to read.

When I click on payments and transactions, it asks for a password..?

Check your text because I noticed some typos. I would say the biggest problem is the slow loading photos.

Ok, these are just some suggestions, but basically get the word out to as many people as possible. You know those spam emails with silly photos, etc.? Maybe send a store email and have your friends email their address books, and ask that they send them, etc. Make your friends and family be your cheerleaders.

I agree. A few things I've noticed as well. Your bows are very cute!

I also use WAHMShoppes. It is 7 a month and it comes with a built in shopping cart as part of the fee.

WOW $7 a month is not bad at all especially since they include a cart. Thank you ladies again for all your input. I'm going to go and look into WAHMshoppes and see what I think. I only have until tomorrow afternoon to make up my mind, because that's when my godaddy expires. thanks again.

I didn't have any problems with the pictures loading on your website. I have broadband/cable though, so it's pretty fast. I thought your website was awesome....and you have alot to offer with a newsletter and "where you'll be next"....that's nice. Your bows are very cute too....so maybe it's the pricing. Have you tried reducing your prices or running any sales? Maybe try free shipping for a limited time or something like that if you don't wanna mess with your pricing. ---That would get alot of people to buy I think.

I have tried sales. of course the buy so many, you get one free. Secret sales only sent to those on the mailing lists where they get a precentage off. even site wide holiday sales, but nothing. I've had so much going on this past two weeks, I've kinda just let the site fall by the wayside and havent' done anything. I hope that I can at least get sometime to get the site relocated this week. Thanks again ladies for all your input. You've been a wonderful help.

I have had a website for two years now, and it just takes time to move up the search engine lists. Some tricks I still implement today are passing a biz card to the teller at the bank and using other branches to spread out the word. All of my email accts have links to the website. Advertise in your church bulletin or school newsletter. Most importantly hit the pavement with your bows and go into specialty stores and consignment stores and offer to sell them wholesale @50% off retail or consign for a 60/40 split. As far as the website goes, it has to be user friendly and have a shopping cart. I use merchant moms and it is much cheaper than many I have used in the past. People are less likely to buy from someone who is not set up professionally and appears to be on the up & up! Identity theft is a major concern these days. Using Paypal and CC have some safe guards that you as an individual can not guarantee. Please note that I am not making any unfriendly accussations here, just stating my concerns as a consumer! Hope you continue to make bows and your business grows by leaps & bounds! It happened to me!!

I hosted with wahmshoppes.com for a few months and didn't really like it. They had a lot of downtime. I now host with Denise at mpc webdesigns Web Hosting - $5.00 : MPC Web Designs, Affordable Web Designs for work at home Mom's

I only pay $5 a month with a cart and I have yet to have any downtime.

I have tried to access your website several times and all that comes up is a page that says "page parked by Go Daddy." This could be part of your problem....may want to look into that.
