I was curious, I'm still working out the bugs for this.

1. Taxes- Do people have this set up to include taxes in the price of the items, or do you have Mal's calculate this for you?

2. Shipping- How does everyone recommend setting this up? Pay standard $5 shipping? Or per item, tiered cost? It's hard to estimate all of this.

I just want to make sure before I put up the pictures and everything that I have the shopping cart completely set up. Not like people will probably be knocking my door down this weekend to buy stuff lol but i can be hopeful right?

It's kind of confusing to set it up for me because in NJ they do not charge sales tax on clothing. If I sell anything other than hairbows, (in which case i plan to sell socks, shoes, tutus in the future).... i would need to break it down by that.... So i think I will just include the tax in the cost of the goods.

no problem
Did you check out Pappashop's FAQ section
this is what it says about the taxes
If you will be collecting sales tax, click on Cart Setup in your Mals account then click on Sales Tax. Check the box that says "Tax will be calculated using one of the rates specified below." and uncheck the box that says "Shipping is taxable." Scroll down to option #6 and check it. Put in the amount your state charges for sales tax and select your state. Click update.

Alright.... i'm still not getting this whole shipping prices thing even though Leslie is being very helpful with all of this.

Can someone please help explain this to me as if you are speaking to your child lol

I wanted to set up staggard shipping prices based off of how much you spend. (not how many qty the customer orders, but staggard shipping costs based off of the amount of money they are spending). What are the exact options that i need to indicate, becaues everyone that i'm checking is either only adding the minimum shipping price or it's charging me equal to the amount of the product, which would obviously be too expensive.

PLEASE HELLLLPPPPPPP sorry!!!!

OK nevermind..... i finally figured it out. For those of you who also are curious how you do this.... as follows:

I wanted a breakdown such as

$1- $15.00= $3.50 shipping
$16-$30= $7.00 shipping
$31-$50= $9.00 shipping
Over $50= flat $11 shipping rate

So do this is Mal's:

Pick option #7: and check the box that says set price the same

Mark the following in the bottom breakdown shipping zones:
15- 3.50
15- 3.50
20- 2.00
0-0
rest 2.00

I hope this helps someone!! This took me awhile to figure out because I was so set on the units itself.
