Several of the ladies here use it. I have it, have only done 3 transactions with it, each time it worked great. I really like that they have to sign on the phone and that your can email/text a receipt to the customer.

So now I have a better understanding of things now, One more questions for you Ladies... Do you add on the fees say if you want $25 for products do you charge 25.69 or doy ou just charge the 25 for a swiped card. Or for manually entered its 3.25 +$.15 so do you charge $25.96, Its doesn't seem like a big deal for one charge but when you start charging musliple people those fees will add up.

If you are going to charge customers the fee just make it a set fee. I know vendors who charge all cc customers $1 or $1.50 to use their cards. I personally have a $15 minimum for people to be able to use a cc to make a purchase. I don't charge a fee but I'm not going to take a cc for a purchase of a $2 bow either. Visa/Mastercard say you can't charge a fee or have a minimum but it's not like you will get busted by Mr. Visa himself if you impose a fee or have a minimum.

Do keep in mind that once people see you take cc they are spend more and think about the bill later. When people pay in cash they are always more cautious about their spending.

Good luck whatever you decide.

I use it. I actually think its illegal to charge people those fees ontop of their purchase. You'd have to check with your state though.

Here is a video on youtube of a guy reviewing and using it.

I know in California it is illegal unless your at a convenience store.

The way I see it, you don't charge your customers the etsy/ebay/paypal fees so you shouldn't charge them the cc fees at a show (which would be less than all those other fees).

I have seen other vendors charge $1 or so flat fees but I don't see the point and as a customer that would turn me away.

I don't charge a fee for it. I lose a lot of sales if I don't take cc, so in the long run it is worth eating the fees.
