~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Yeah!!! They brought my new building yesterday. I am waiting on all of the workers to get back so that they can get it off of the truck trailer and on the ground. Then I have to clean all of the trash out of it that My DARLING HUSBAND threw into it when he disconnected it from the house trailer that it was connected to. But my question is this... I want to line one of the walls with pegboard to hang up bows like a real store. Those of you who have pegboard, where did you get it?? Should I get a stand or should I just hang it on the wall?? What do y'all think??
I will post some pictures of it once it is off of the truck trailor and it is cleaned out inside. I am so excited!!!!!!
You can get pegboard at Lowe's Home Depot, any hardware store. It shouldn't be too expensive. Hanging it on the wall is easy and would keep it out of the way and easily accessible. Can't wait to see your pics!!
I think you just screw 2X4's to the wall, and then just screw the pegboard to the 2x4's .... right?
I can't beleive you actually got it!! That's awesome. How much did it cost to move?
(My step dad works at home depot) then if you need more, you can buy it there. I can't wait to see this thing... I cannot picture it at all!
I asked for this scrap section and they tought i was NUTS..My husband even laughed at me..
It cost $2500 to move it. Now-- remember that I got it for free. But then my husbands boss told him that the company would pay for it as a business expense. He told him that "is one of the perks of the company". His company is really like a family. His boss is so great!!!!! Not only does he pay for our families health insurance, he is paying hte $4000 deductable for me to have the baby. He also GAVE my in-laws $5,000 last year to buy a new car (My FIL used to work with them until he went on dialysis 5 years ago- they ahve to drive 85 miles round trip 3 times a week).
I think that Eric is gonna run electricity to it this weekend. I hope so at least. It's gonna kill me for it to be there and me not be able to use it yet!!
As soon as all of the workers are gone I will take pics for y'all!! I just don't want them thinking I am taking pics of them with their shirts off!!!!!
Uhhhhh, no. If you could only see what I am seeing right now. 3 of them are over 65. The young ones are what you would expect to come out of the swamp.... to put it nicely.
Sorry-- no hot pool boys here for the retirement home!!
I can't wait to see your bow barn! HOpefully you'll get the pegboard figured out. The thing we learned (the hard way) is you have to put a frame of wood under the pegboard so it has room under it for the pegs to go in. You can't just nail it to the wall.
YOu've inspired me! We have a shed with electricity to it and it has windows. My DH got it last year for his "tools". I think I'm going to claim part of it for my ribbon! I could craft and watch the kids play out the door and windows. He is just getting it organized. It's a perfect time to weasel my way in thanks for the idea
Ok -- Here are the pics of my new Bow Barn!!! I have some work to do. The hole is where it was connected to the house trailer. I think that my DH is gonna cut a whole on the other side next to the windows to put some french doors and cover the existing hole. The windows face our driveway and Adri's play area where her swingset is. See all of the junk he threw in there! That WAS NOT there the other day! I think I am gonna take the fireplace out. And I want to get rid of the carpet and put in some laminate floor. It has a small room which will be Adri and Baby #2's playroom. It also has a closet in it that I am gonna stuff full of supplies!!!!!! What do y'all think??? It needs some work-- but it is MINE for my BOW STUFF!!!
