My New Building is here!! Pegboard Question....

What a great space!!

I just got a room!!! I did the peg board thing for my ribbons and 'bows-in-waiting'. My dh mounted them to the wall on the studs w/ 'nuts' on the back side so there was a gap between the peg board and the wall. You need something to give you that space for the pegs. The Home Depot guy suggested the nuts or washers. You can use the wood behind it too. I also painted mine to match my pink/green theme. Best of luck, I can't wait to see!!!!

I thought ya'll would enjoy that!!! It is nice to have a space to create and store. I have customers that 'drop by' so I wanted a little shop/work space!! I painted it w/ my card colors. Still working on the curtains etc but I tried the harliquinn diamond pattern on the walls. I hope it will be cute when it is done.

Now I have to try to keep it clean!!!

I am looking forward to seeing how her building turns out... so cool!!!

Well, I havent' really done a whole lot with it. THings have been crazy!! I do have all of my stuff out there and there are days that Adri and I go out there and spend several hours, but she HATES it out there. I need Eric to run the satelite cable out there. Adri has her own room and everything, but she still doesnt like it. I nee to have it painted-- I refuse to paint it. We just painted Adri's room and I hate painting and suck at it, so I want to pay someone to paint it. It will be a slow work in progress. SOmetime this week I will straiggten up out there and take some pics of the progression for yall!!

Did you just paint the pegboard pink. I'm wondering if I can do that with slat wall panels. hmmm

Yes, I just bought the pre-cut white peg board (b/c I was not sure about the paint.) I just flipped it over and painted the raw side. It took two coats.

Only thing about peg boards and ribbon storage is that you can not see your colors from the front. You kind of have to look at an angle-BUT it is easier than the dowel/brick thing I was doing b/c you can get to your spools a little better.

I got some pegboard at Lowe's like others have mentioned, but I recommend buying the hooks for the pegboard online. AzarDisplays.com - Azar Displays is a good place. They have a minimum order amount though. I ended up buying some hooks from ebay very reasonably priced. I'm jealous!
