How do you like to store your ribbon? On or Off the spool? Why do you like it this way?

I store it both ways

I store it how it comes, I have boxes for the spools, and baggies for the non spools.
I once took some off the spools and the mess was so not worth it.

I also keep it the way it comes. The lady for ribbonplace dosen't roll it so it can look very overwhelming when it arrives. My hubby get his drill and rolls it all for me though.

I usually order it in 100 yard put ups, so it's WAY easier to leave it on the spool. Small yardage I usually ziplock, but it does get cluttered that way.

I have to have it on the spool otherwise it just makes a huge mess for me. I'm still trying to come up with a better system than what I've currently got.

I prefer on the spools. I haven't bought anything over 10 yards though.

I use the water flats. (the big flat box that the bottled water comes in..we drink alot) and then I have it right there on the table and I can get whatever I need right away. I also use a straight pin to pin the ribbon to the spool. It's more habit now so it doesnt bother and I am not overwelmed with a mess.

I currently have some stored both ways because that's how the arrived. I do prefer on the spool, it's juse easier to keep up with.
