~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
My ribbon stash is organized for the minute so I thought I would snap a picture.
I got most of it in little boxes which fit nicely on my cart. Then I have clips, centers, and other accessories in boxes.
The top of my cart is mostly ribbons that came on rolls and I shoved in baggies according to size. Oh and my mess of 3/8" ribbon that I'm going to make a storage box for.
Default My ribbon mess...:(
Here are pictures of my mess. The pictures of the hangers with the small spools are from when I first got started making bows. Then last year I got the bright idea to use the plastic drawers (very hard to dig around to find what you need). I use the spools on the wood rack the most. I made it last year and it was very easy. The downside is that you can only store spools of ribbon and it is very heavy (not easy to move from room to room if you need to be portable). I am always looking for a new way to organize and how to do it without spending too much money.
Shari,
They look great.
You can roll ribbon into rolls using drill. It'll leave a hole at the center just like ribbon spools and then you can thread those rolls on the dowel.
Here is the thread--how to roll ribbon into rolls:
