Oh Rene,
That is beautiful! Unfortunately, with three kiddos and a business and a house I definitely don't see painting in my future. If you would like help with your photo area, I'd be happy to help you. Just send me an email to mybellaboutique@verizon.net and I'll tell you what I use and how I set it up!!!

Wow, Rene! That looks awesome; you're so organized! And I love pink and black! Where in the world did you get those big scissors on the wall? Cute!

Thanks Joan. I need to take pictures of my sewing area as it has an "U" shaped work table that I made myself. Maybe I will do that later tonight and post. As for the scissors, I found them at Hobby Lobby and I fell in love with them. They were $29.99 and I just couldn't bring myself to purchase them, but I looked at them every time I went in the store. Then one day they ran 50% off of all wood novelties and I convinced myself that $15.00 was ok for fru fru. They were real cute green with pink polka dots. I eventually painted them black to match everything.

Thanks Jen,
I am proud and thankful, but as I said it is in the basement. It's not so bad as it is heated and cooled. If you look at the pix close enough you notice the wall studs where the sheet rock ends, this would be where the drop ceiling would meet the wall, if we had a drop ceiling! Instead we have exposed floor joists and pipes! The black that runs around the center of the wall is ribbon that I glued (yes I said glued) to the wall. When we built the house we had the builder put in a wall to seperate the garage from this room and the sheet rock was in it's raw form (it has never been taped and mudded) which meant there was a big seam where the two pieces met. Of course when I painted the walls I did not spackle the seam, afterall I was painting raw sheet rock! So I just used ribbon to hide the seam. It seemed logical to me to use ribbon! Eventually when/if we finish the room that wall will have to be mudded/taped and whatever else they do. So at that time the wall can be prepped the way it should have been done

Rene, that is just beautiful!! I am so jealous!! I use our kitchen table/area. I wish I had a room that I could devote just to my crafting. Maybe one day.....

I would LOVEEE my own craft room!! Probably spend way to much money for the LOCK on the door- but that's ok!

I have a fold up 8 foot table in my bedroom. I can sit there and talk to my husband in the living room. I am not that big of a TV person. Sometimes I can take a few things into the living room with me and work when we watch a movie.

Thanks to all of you for the nice comments. Everything is kind of make shift, but it works. I would love to have counters and cabinets like Jen. That's awesome.
