If it is not too much, I wrap it on empty spools I have saved for this very reason. If I don’t have the right size spool, I just wrap it without anything. Double ruffle, I wrap loosely on a stiff cardboard.

I can say myself I don't have any loose ribbon. But I just read a good tip on one of my groups. Save your empty tulle spools and wrap it around that. You could probaby do the same with empty tp rolls and paper towel rolls. Some ladies put them in baggies. I believe there are ribbon cards you can buy to wrap them on. Your ideas are endless I'm sure. Hope that helps some.

Thanks for sharing that. I have tons of used tulle spools. I haven't thrown them away because I thought there was something I could use them for.

Tinfoil rolls, papertowels rolls, toliet paper rolls.. all would work.

I roll mine up and then clip with an alligator clip.

I've been rolling onto empty tulle spools all day! I got a big ribbon order in from a group buy and had been saving spools just for this day! I will say that the tulle spools with the cardboard ends work better because you can fit 10+ yards on it better....On one of them, I was able to get 3 different colors of 1 1/2 inch and 1 color of 7/8 inch. I just kind of rolled them w/the color combinations that I like to use so that I can just pull out 1 spool at a time and work off of it.

Me too. I wrap the ribbon in itself using a drill. Here is the instruction:

And I put 3/8" ribbon rolls in ribbon storage box:
