Default Advice please - dropping a boutique

Looking for some advice on how to handle a situation. A year ago I started putting some hair flowers/bows and things in a hair salon. It's a friend of a friend type situation.

It has just not worked out very well... the salon is a decent drive from my house, and she doesn't sell very much. I have a couple of other retail locations, and they do great. I think her clientele is just not right for my products. It's consignment based, and she's also not great about keeping up with what is sold.

How do I nicely get out of this deal? Any thoughts or experience? It's just too far to drive for not much money.

I would probably give her the option of buying wholesale from you or just pulling your product...maybe offer her a better split if she wants to buy wholesale (60/40 instead of 70/30 or whatever the case may be). If it's not making any money for you, then it's probably not making money for her and that space in her salon could be used for something that would better suit her clientele. Hope this helps...good luck

Thank you!! I think I will call her in the next week and just ask her if she thinks it's working out and maybe she'd rather have something more suited to her older clients. I appreciate your thoughts!
