I just signed up with stamps.com and have changed my shipping policies for international to shipping USPS First Class International with insurance. The insurance is through stamps.com and it cost under 2.00 for 50.00 coverage. For my domestic shipping, I have it as an option for purchase.

I am sure that the person is the same as the address (from what I could see) lines up exactly as does the name. I have started shipping international about 2-3 times a week and wanted to make it easier and more cost effective. So far I have been happy.

I hope things go well with her. I'll keep my fingers crossed that she responds to your questions soon.

WHAT you guys had the same customer?? Was this on etsy or HG?? I wouldn't refund her. You have proof that you mailed the package, that's all you can do. Be prepared as she'll probably give you a negative, but whatever. I guess if kajjms has the same problems w/ her you'll know she's a scammer!

That is a lot of money to refund. But if she can get some proof that she has not received it I would refund her in full. Perhaps a letter from her PO? Insurance is purchased by the sender in case of incidences like this. I try to put myself in the shoes of the buyer. I would expect to receive a refund if I never received my items, the seller can write off the loss in their records, but as a buyer there is nothing that can be done. Even with insurance it's the seller that files the claim and receives the refund from what I understand. It's possible it is held up in customs, and I would wait to refund a little longer too. Yes it's a risk to buy from another country, but it is also a risk to sell to another country. It's your customer service that is being tested here.

I am so sorry. I definately feel you pain. This is a lesson we have had to learn. We have had to refund customers, and that is why we now require tracking. It is expensive and sometimes unnecessary, but it is more expensive, in the end, for you to refund.

I use tracking for all my domestic shipping, but for international they don't do it except for express mail. I just found out that I can registered them, buyt it's started from $11.50. From now on, that's my option.

However, I know taht sometimes Int'l can take up to 3 months. I don't know if she;ll get it in the future, will she be honest and let me know about it.

Has she only requested a refund? Has she asked for you to resend the order? You would think if she hasn't received the product her goal would be to get the product she ordered. If she insists only on a refund then I'd say she's gotten the package and now wants her $$ back too.

Maybe offer her to resend her order this way you're not out the entire $$ plus your supply money.
