Hey-I'm a newbie sewer, too and the tie appliques are not hard at all! I cut out my tie shape, use heat-n-bond to iron on to the onesie, and then zigzag stitch around the whole thing. I've made several of these as gifts lately and the mamas were crazy about them. I'm making some now to sell. Good luck-I'll be watching your thread as I am challenged to find stuff to do for biys, too-esp. with a family full of girls! Here's a link to the pics I posted-they're bad quality, but you get the idea. http://hipgirlclips.com/forums/sewin...ie-shirts.html |

some people around here even go easier! find some cool fabric, cut with pinking shears, then sew on a rectangle. if its cool fabric, it speaks for itself.

We just made a few tie onesies for the last show we did and they were a BIG hit. The only other boy items we make are step stools and diaper changing pads. If anyone has any other ideas, I'd love to hear them too!
