I went shopping for a gift for my husband on Etsy this weekend, and found a whole shop full of Star Wars ornaments labeled as vintage. The only problem? None of the ornaments were older than 10 years, and some were only a year or two old!

Then I made the mistake of searching for tutu's and wings. In the kid's section under tutus, there are over 300 pages with at least 1-2 items per page that are from Halo Heaven. Most have absolutely NO embellishment and are called handmade or supplies. Some sellers plainly state the fact that they didn't make the item in their listing! I've been reporting for over an hour and am only 15 pages in.

I love Etsy, but they need to get their heads out of their patooties when it comes to content management. Sigh.

You go girl. Nothing like catching a bunch of liars. This is only in a couple of catagories too. I used to do that on ebay with way overpriced shipping. Imagine 6.00 to ship off a doz pencils.

And this is why I have given up until they give us another update about what they are doing to remedy things. I once sat and reported a whole shop minus maybe 3 things.

Do they even bother looking at them? Or do they chug beers and pretend to work?

I just think their priorities are not the same as the sellers. Like fixing the google stuff or whatever happened there. Plus they did that stupid advertising thing. IDK I haven't been extremely active lately because of craft shows. Plus I just signed up for hosting so I can start my website again. This way my business card information is correct again.

Well, until you get your site up you can set your host to refer traffic to your Etsy shop. I need to get my site up but am sending traffic to the Etsy shop for now.

Holy cow that google screw-up made just about everyone angry. It really hurt my traffic, so I left Etsy for most of the summer. I can't believe it took so long to fix! Etsy isn't a small company anymore, but they are treating their development like a small company would. Plug holes, patch holes, never build a new dam.

My domain has been forwarded for over 6 months now Yeah the google thing really hurt my friends.

I went from 100 views a day to 20 or so. Ouch!

My one friend is going on 3300 sales and she says it's slow. She drives me crazy!!!!!! Now my other friend is going on 150 sales and I know it really hurt her.

I have been going through and flagging too!!! It just makes me very angry that I spend so much time hand making everything and ther are selling $hit for $10 a tutu. I have been thinking about sending a standard I flagged your item message to the sellers to explain why and maybe they will take their crap to eBay! I doubt it though.
