Exclamation brother PE770--- need help with thread tension????

Hey,
I want to start off by saying I am new to embroidery, but did not consider myself dumb until now. My sweet, sweet husband bought me the Brother PE770. It came along with the kit that was supposed to have me working right out of the box- WRONG! I can't seem to get my thread tension correct. It seems that no matter what I set it on (-8 to 8), I keep getting the same results. I only see the bobbin thread and barely any of the upper thread. My poor husband wants me to be excited about his gift, but right now I just want to throw it against a wall. Hopefully, someone knows what I am doing wrong. Any advice would be GREATLY appreciated.

Ok, I have the same machine and it happened to me once. Two things I narrowed it down to and both issues were the bobbin. Make sure when you wind a bobbin that is is done tightly and make sure you have the bobbin in correctly. After I corrected both things it didn't happen again. Hope this helps

I had this issue with my PE750d when I first got it and I didnt havet he bobbin in correctly. Take it out, make sure it is wound tightly and then make sure it is going through the bobbin case correctly. Mine wasnt in the tension arms correctly. Good Luck
