that tut has lots of great tips . . . went google shopping for the mesh . . . and i think one of the secrets is that it's beige (although they show it as white in the pic).

on the w/site for the mesh - here's something that i've never heard/seen . . .

*Tip! To get extra support on large or problem designs without adding bulk, try crossing two layers of the mesh when hooping, one at 90°and the other at 45°. This will offer a tremendous amount of stabilization without stiffness.

thanks! i think i'll try this stabilizer out . . .

edit - now they've also got the same brand but in fusible . . . wonder if i should get this one and eliminate the spray adhesive ?

Thanks for the added links, prleaf! The first link you provided shows a great example of why I need this mesh over the mesh I already have. I didn't know there was such a thing as no-show mesh before reading about it on the tutorial. The first link also has fusible available.

I think I might stick with my spray adhesive instead of the fusible no-show. The spray is usable on many different types of stabilizer and I have a sneaking suspicion that it would be way more cost effective, too.
