Default Beyond ticked off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Before Christmas I sold the remainder of my collectible Barbies. I hated to do it, but I had some huge bills to pay off and $0. So, I get an email today from one of the purchasers that states that she wants a full refund or a $45 credit if she decides to keep the doll because when she got it there was no lid on the box and the head was broken off!

This was my response:
Dear **********,

I'm sorry, but I am not prepared to give you a refund for this item. I mailed the Barbie to you via USPS Priority Mail and it was delivered on December 23, when it is now Jan. 5. There was a lid for the box and the doll was in perfect condition when it left my hands. The auction stated that I had additional pictures if you wanted to see them (which you did not request) and I still have those photos on my hard drive if they are needed.

If you would have liked to add shipping insurance all you had to do was request it and I would have been more than happy to add it for you (at your expense). I am not responsible for damage that was caused by the postal service or any other person/thing that is beyond my control.

I am sorry for your inconvenience, but there is really nothing I can do about this matter. The item left me as described in a timely manner and as described in the auction.

Of course she opened a case against me, so I responded and escalated it to ebay. I'm sure there is no way in H**L I will win, but there is no way I was going to refund her money. Not only am I upset about her lies, but this was my absolute all time favorite Barbie and I cried as I listed her. I'm actually crying now as I write this because it kills me that someone is such a B that she would break the head off her. I'm sure it could have been damage from the post office, but I seriously doubt it.

I'm sorry this was so long, but I had to get it off my chest. I officially hate ebay. This is the second time I've had a bad experience in the last month. I think I'm done there.

Oh wow! Just make sure you are on top of it and be prompt when PayPal wants info about the claim. You may even call them and explain everything. This will look better on your part. Sorry she is doing this to you! I bet someone else broke the barbie doll and she just wants her money back. Check her feedback out and she if she has done this before on an item. Hope you win! I hate buyers that are like this. Maybe her dd got a hold of it and ripped the head off so now she wants to get her money back for it. I wish ebay would side with the seller more often. There have been way too many times buyers have taken advantage of the way ebay treats their sellers. They know they will win regardless. Have you checked her feedback and her feedback to others? Has she done this before to someone else?

Im sorry but the post man wouldve practically had to have been picked up by a tornado or something for the barbies head to pop off during transit! I really dont think that it happened that way, its so sad that some people do things like this

did she send you a picture of the damaged doll? Either way i think if it was damaged it was done in her home. I also think that she wouldve messaged you right away telling you that she received it that way. I really hope she doesnt get a refund!

I just went through something similar where I shipped some jeans of my sons and the lady didnt receive them before xmas, which wasnt my fault. She paid for parcel post so she got slow mail time esp during xmas!!! She opened a case against me and I escalated it to ebay and won! Sincce u have proof that it was delivered, you should be fine.

Did she send you pics? Do you know for sure the barbie was damaged? I agree with what you did, I wouldn't have refunded her either.

This is just one more reason I will no longer step foot on ebay...to buy or to sell...it is where I started but I had an issue or two while selling on there and threw my hands up...ebay sucks and I do not feel like they care about the people who sell on there!!!

Well, I looked at her feedback and it all says "fast payment" except for one that simply says "ok". Her payment to me wasn't fast though, so I don't know...maybe it's buyer's remorse or something. (I don't know how though she got it for a steal!) Now all I can do is wait and see. Thanks for the support girls! It feels good to get it off my chest-even if it isn't bow related!
