So I just noticed that ebay get 12% of the final value fee not of the shipping cost. So what I just did was lower my price to $1 and put the rest of the $ in the shipping cost. I just did this today so im not sure how well it will work but it will save on ebay fees. Just wanted to let every one know. Also it costs you to have free shipping. Its better to lower your price and have a shipping cost because they dont take a percent of the shipping cost.
Hope this help, Jineane

Honestly, those types of auctions irritate me and I will not bid.

What??? no way!!! im gonna keep them up, i think its wrong for them to charge 12% and a listing fee. My bill to them every month ends up being like $40 and i make little profit while they make a ton.

Honestly, a lot of people report those auctions, as excessive shipping (more than is reasonable for you to ship the item), is against eBay's rules. I've reported some, myself, in the past. If you get reported, or eBay catches you on their own, you will be suspended. Is that a risk you're willing to take?

Sorry, but I have to agree with the other posters. No loop hole there. EBay has rules, and if you aren't happy with the rules, it's better to go somewhere else. Your reputation might be in danger if your potential customers see you as trying to cheat the system. I'm sure all of the comments in this thread aren't at all what you were expecting. Please don't be too frustrated with it - I think everyone here is really just trying to help you.
