I don't sell my bows, but I do sell other stuff on ebay. I used to sell my stuff rather good, but lately not so much.

Ebay's slow season tends to be from May until time for school to start...(school shopping). Just my experience for the last 4 or 5 years.

Thanks for the tip! I've found that Ebay has been realllly slow for us the past few months but craigslist and kijiji leads have increased. Fine with me, the 2 latter ones are free! I wish Ebay was as popular as it once was though!!

I have noticed the same thing. I have been thinking about opening up my own store as well. Ebay fees are crazy.

How do you open a website? How much it cost you to make one and running it? Anyone know?

It is actually not to hard to do first you get a domain name you can get that here Browser Update Page for cheap like $15 a year and then this is who i use for my website they are great and have a good shopping cart Shoppe Pro Web Hosting - Simple Shopping Cart for the WAHM! they are $9.95 a month and they have a list of template designers that work with them and i got mine for $50 and that is all you need you have to put in your content and pictures and what not!

I actually just closed my store an hour ago! Just not worth the fees. People (in my instance) only purchased my 99c bows which I used as advertising for my store inventory. And I reckon the buyers had an unspoken ettiqute (?) and took turns to buy the 99c ones so it wouldnt EVER go over that cost! Same people on a rotational basis! (Not that there's anything wrong with that!)

What do you mean Karen?? I've only ever bought on ebay and i've never tried to sell. How does that work and why would they do it?? Just wondering..... It's probably a stupid question and the answer is really obvious but i just have to ask.
