ebay seller: do you think by using fancyful auction template for your listing will really boost sales?

ebay buyer: are you more attracted to sellers using fancyful auction template and tend to buy from them more?

I believe the fancy templet may help some people sale their items at first, but if they are selling less than average items, it'll reflect (hopefully) in their feedback , then it won't matter. I personally like to use nice borders (as I take pride in my items, and like to show it), but didn't really see an increase in sales. Most of my buyers are repeat, and so the "fancy" doesn't make a difference.

I only buy on eBay, and I can say that the fancy template does nothing for me. If I see it, I figure the seller just has more time on their hands! I can't say that I've ever been attracted to a shop because of its fancy templates. I'm much more concerned with price/value, their feedback rating, shipping policies, and their completeness and friendliness in their listing. If that's all there, I'll buy. If not, I won't.

I am just an ebay buyer and I can say that, yes, the fancier sites lure me in to sites. Sometimes though it can be deceiving....the real cute fufu stores and then the products/prices aren't so pretty (with no stores in mind when saying this). Then there are sometimes when I don't like them if they are too overwhelming with design and it outshines the product they are selling. So really I guess I should have voted neutral.

i buy and sell on ebay. I found the more time i put into my listing often the better price i get for my item.
When i buy if the ad is super wow like oh*my*gosh*goodies listings im like oh that is so cute. I love her stuff, a little pricy, but i still buy from her cause i have no idea where she gets alot of her printed ribbon. She only sells special ribbon or printed nothing solid.

I like nice templates but I don't think they do much for my sales choices. I tend to look really closely at the item photos and descriptions. So make sure you have solid descriptions and really great clear photos since those are probably most important.

As a seller I've never used them as I'm too lazy!
As a buyer though, I sometimes get a bit fed up with them as, pretty though they are, they can sometimes make a page take a long time to load-wouldn't stop me buying though if it was something I wanted

i don't have a store on ebay, just randomly sold big ticket items whenever we needed a little extra cash--my question is, if i was to open an ebay store--where can you purchase a template? i know for etsy or opening your own personal website there are people that you can pay to do it for you, but had no idea for ebay.
i do like the different background templates, i think it adds a nice touch....i love, love love the seller tresor bows it seems she's got a different template for whatever clippie she makes!
anyone know of a decently priced place to purchase a template?

As a buyer on ebay, I have to say that it doesn't matter to me if there is a fancy template or not. I'm interested in the item in the listing, not decorations in the listing!
