~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
What are some of GOOD ebay alternatives. I'm fed up with ebay and paypal and refuse to do business with them.
What are good places for selling some used clothing or book?
What about other items that are not handmade, like toys, video games, electronics?
Places for selling handmade stuff, bows ect? I know of etsy and ecrater but thats it.
TIA
well, I've only had it up for a few weeks. . .I got one sale from a girl I knew- we met through a diff. forum I had been on and she found my myspace. . .I have another girl from that same forum(parenting forum), that has a sale w/ me in the works. I'm not really advertising myself much on the net. . .my primary reason for having it right now is so there is a place where local customers can view my products online. I'd like to get another site up sometime, but I feel there's so much competition out there, that for now I'll stick w/ local stuff(have my first 2 shows coming up, and will hit up boutiques soon!). Even if they aren't a member of myspace, I have a slideshow of products, as well as pics on my actual page. . .so they can still view them. I also, put my email addy on there so they can contact me through there!
For books, toys, electronics, etc, I would try Amazon. Obviously it would get tons of traffic, and no fee unless it sells. I'm not sure what the fees are though.
Used clothing - local consigment
Also, on ecrater, I think you can sell anything, it doesn't have to only be handmade. I'm in the process of opening an ecrater store. I'm not worried about lack of traffic there because my purpose is to have someplace for local people to go online and see my stuff and place orders. I like that there's no fee unless it sells.
You could try a site called ioffer. You list your items a set price or put make offer on your items. The site also says you can transfer over all of your feedback from ebay. I tried that site for a while, but was to used to ebay so I just sell on there now. I guess I am just really used to it, plus they have sooo much stuff on there.
