Default I am about to get on the PO'd at ebay wagon.

This has happened once before. I try to keep my shipping cheap so I ship first class when possible and offer insurance or DC at the buyers request and expense. I have a lady that says she never received her package. I have my reciept verifying that I mailed something to her zipcode 2 days after I receiving her payment. It has been 2 weeks. The last time this happened I just refunded the ladies money bc I didn't have time to dispute and didn't want the headache. The lady this time is threatening to file with paypal to get her money back and I know very well how ebay and paypal side with things like this... They will refund her money. I am getting so sick and tired of ebay and all of the new policies. You almost can't win if you are the seller. I know that 2 lost packages in 10 years of being on ebay seems so minimal but they are just getting ridiculous about so many things and this is just another notch. Not to mention the fees. By the time you pay for ebay listing fees final value fees and then Paypal fees it is so hard to show profit sometimes. I really like etsy but just recently opened that store and like everyone is well aware the market is flooded right now so the sales there aren't shooting through the roof. Most of my online orders come from people seeing something in my etsy or ebay and emailing me to make it in a different color or size. I started a website a year ago. Registered a domain, bought all the graphics and a subscription for a host but then I took a long time away when I got pregnant so it never really got off the ground. I have stuck with ebay because I have been selling on there for so long. And this new feedback policy baffles the bejeebies out of me. SIGH... just venting I know there are people here that don't agree with some of the new ebay policies too. Remember when paypal was free and they even paid you to refer people to their website. I just joined a boutique designers group so maybe that will at least boost the traffic to my auctions and I can get back to the sales I used to get (yeah right)
Taking so much time off really bit me in the hiney!

What was Lorraine's expression? Ebay sucks titties.

I am on ebay but I am seriously considering closing my account. With my online store we only ship UPS because of the tracking and insurance. I have never had anyone complain about shipping costs. But I understand what you are saying. If you dont' offer first class then your buyer might say you charge too much for shipping. It is a lose/lose. I'm sorry that is happening to you. If you want to continue on ebay the best thing to do is probably refund her money.

Haha I had a feeling I wasn't the only one. I have caught wind of frustration on other threads. That is funny.

I know. That is what I will end up doing. I value my feedback and know that I have no leverage when it comes down to it. Ebay does nothing to protect their sellers from this type of thing. You can't even leave negative feedback when someone bids and doesn't pay and boy has that problem doubled since they announced that good news. They know that if they decide the aren't going to pay after winning, you cannot even alert other sellers. It sucks she hasn't gotten her package lord knows that is the last thing I want to here from a buyer.
A negative strike on 100% feedback is not worth the $15.00. You are so very right.

I'm right there with ya raggedyamys. Ebay and Paypal protect the buyers, and this new feedback system sucks! Ebay and it's affiliates just got the gold fever, and jumped ship on the valuable people that made them the company they are today..
I seen this super funny cartoon skit about ebay. it's on ioffer. let me find the link to share.. it's funny!

try this...
iOffer: Parody Feepay

if it doesn't work go here...
iOffer: Item Transfers
on the right-hand side it says "Play the fee pay game" click on it...

With ebay's new policies I think every seller has to accept that they WILL eventually be given a negative. It's that simple. Ebay is screwing all it's seller with this new feedback thing. I have stuff listed now & I have 100% with 583 feedback. This is the first time I've listed since the new rules & I know I'm gonna end up with a negative. I'm just gonna cover my rear when it comes to paypal so they can't take my money back.

We had over 1655 when we got our one and only negative feedback from a newbie who left it 8 days after auction end! They took 4 days to pay and choose parcel post instead of 1st or priority! So, they expected it within 3 days of their payment!! Ridiculous! Now, the buyers CAN NOT remove the negative either. Once it's there, it's there....

Ebay is aggravating. I have never sold hair accessories, just my daughter's clothes. I am now having to file NPB today and I notice from the person's feedback they had a habit of not paying but did have a good run for a while. I guess my auction started their bad habit again. I don't even want to be bothered because the auction did not end for much. I just want my fees back.
What I would like to know is how come you buy from say Amazon and you have to pay right away, but Ebay buyers have the luxury of making you wait days for payment then they can leave feedback on you. At Amazon you can leave feedback about your experience but you pay right away. Ebay needs to do this. I have never bid on an auction and not pay promptly. There were instances where I emailed the person that I was still shopping or is it ok to pay in 2 days (before I won) but this is rare and I did contact them & got their permission! I have more items to list but just don't feel like it. Ebay sucks now.
