I love they call it "The Cool Girl's Guide!" Because you're only cool if you crochet or knit! I'm no better. I bought that cool animal pattern book with great intentions to make a stick horse or dragon or something for my son, and it still sits in the bag in the basement. So much to do.....too much time spent at the computer.

Does anybody actually make a gauge when starting a pattern? Maybe I'm jsut a rebel or lazy, but I think it's a waste of time.
