Judy posted this a while back..I watched and it was a really good video. I can't remember if she shows how to make the first chain or not....but it was really good. Hope the link will take you there.

Oops...sorry that one didn't link. Maybe this one will work, she does in fact show the first chain.....or first row. She goes slow so it's easy to figure out.

I use this site alot, they have videos that you can watch of each stitch. Hope this helps.

I don't really have a website but I bought a little book from Wal-mart that has instructions on how to knit, crochet, and do hand embroidery. I think it was just a couple of dollars. Our Wal-mart normally carries just a few copies but it is well worth it if you are wanting to try to learn these things.
