Yes, you will want to take the hard plastic part off the back of the flower. Have you taken it apart & glued it back together? Usually silk flowers look a LOT better if you take off the hard piece on back, basically "dissecting" your flower, then take your very bottom layer, lay that down, put some hot glue in the middle (or you can sew), place your next petal layer on top but STAGGER the petal layers (so that the next on top's petals lay on top of, but in between the tips of the bottom layer) for each layer. Just keep hot gluing. When you get to the end, are you going to use the center that came with the flower or something else (rhinestone, some other embellishment)? If you are going to use the center that came with it, cut off that small sticky out-y thing on the back and just hot glue that on. Then hot glue to a lined alligator clip. HTH.
