Default Help finding flower pattern

I want to make some little flower clippies, but all the flower patterns I've found for layered flowers are big and thick. (I want more of a "flatter" look if that makes sense) Heres what I'm looking for:

I've searched ravelry and couldn't find anything. TIA ladies!

The yarn you use will make a huge difference!
The first flower is made with Caron Simply Soft.
I've found many patterns for similar flowers by just googling 5 petal flower

Hmm..maybe thats why mine don't come out the way I'd like. I've been using Red Heart...I'll have to pick up some of the other and test it out. Thanks so much!

Crochet pattern central has HUNDREDS of free patterns, and they do have a lot of flowers, I was looking there a couple of weeks ago. So many styles. LOL
