I have to agree. I mean folks have been creating these items all this time without it, seems to me it's not really needed. Especially at that price

i just watched a video & it shows the difference using cotton thread & elastic thread. i never realized it made such a difference and might try it.

Well, there IS a difference, but not that much of one. Who cares if it looks more delicate? Of course if it is a SPECIAL present or something it may be worth the extreme price, but usually you don't need that 'special' thread.
