I think it's a cute idea to name. It's almost more professional. For instance one of my friends wants everything over the top in pink and cheetah or zebra print so I was thinking about naming all of that sort of stuff the Chloe Collection after her daughter.

I was wondering the same thing! I have several hats that I've had trouble coming up with names for (pretty much anything with a flower on it) so I've been thinking about naming them for little girls I know. I've already used my daughter's names for hats in my shop, but I'm thinking I'll expand...I have too many names with "flower" or "bloom" in them right now!

My question would be how would that effect Etsy's relevancy search? It's so dang hard to figure that out. |

I do. Rather than say "Large Bow", I call it a "Bella Bow." All my flowers also are individually named. But since I have my own site, it's more out of convenience for me. Since I have over a hundred large flowers on my site, if I get an order that says someone ordered the Lyla Flower, I search it on my site, see which one it is, and then I can find it easier. It helps when you have a large inventory of different looking items too.

I don't really name my items, but I think that's a good idea! Think up creative names. For example, if you made a pink scarf, you might dedicate it to Breast Cancer and name it: Helping Her Get Through It - Ultimate Pink Scarf. Name an item on its qualities; quantitative and qualitative. For example, the Red Pom Pom Hat (of Doom. LOL) or Two Blue Dolphins on a Leaf. You can even recruit little children you know to help you think up ideas! Good luck!
