My first Crocheting

Ok I have never crocheted before.. My friend has a baby in the NICU. I wanted to try this pattern on YCMT and do one for her... I know it isnt perfect but keep in mind I have never crocheted in my life.. I went to lionbrand.com and looked at free instructions there and then tried to read this pattern..
This is the pattern I used .. I havent done the ribbon through it and forgot the leaves.....

I have to ask, where can I find a doll like that without spending hundreds of dollars? I love them and think they make the best models since they DON'T MOVE. I thought about checking out toys r us and finding one of those somewhat realistic dolls but they aren't usually big enough.

I got this on ebay.. It is an ashton drake doll.. lol I think it is really not a pretty doll.. But it looks much better in photos.. It is actually my dd's doll.. It is a Sarah Wee Wiggles doll...HTH
