Soooo.... I have been sitting on the sidelines admiring all the adorably beautiful beanies that have been being made! I was quite envious cause this is something I have wanted to learn for a long time! I have never even crocheted a chain stich before (tried to learn once when I was teen but never had the patience for it!) With the help of Judy the youtube lady and all of your wonderful inspiration I actually crocheted a beanie!!
DH was laghing at me cause I was literally learning along as I watched the video! LOL! I would pause it go back and pause it agian until it finallay clicked for me. I used the youtube ladies pattern but mine came out much smaller than hers for some reason but that is good cause I wanted it for my DD anyway! There are quite a few mistakes some minor and some major but if I do say so myself I think it came out rather cute considering it is my very first project! I only had one size J hook and one color of yarn I have had for probably 10 years but it made do! I have big plans for this hobby!! I can't wait to explore further!

My Model is soundly sleeping I despratley wanted to wake her but decided I better not! so I used my stand in (a cookie jar) instead! What do you think?

Isn't it fun?!! I loved that I could pause the video and go back. I think the colors worked very weill and you master her flower I couldn't I may try one more time but I really like the big chunky one I did. Congrats...ps did you dh call you a granny? mine did!
