So...I have a craft show in about 14 hours on an air force base. I have no clue what to price my stuff at. This is my first show and I am newer to the area so I don't know what the going rate for bows at craft shows are. I am thinking...2 inch bows $2.00 or 2/$3.00. Woven headbands $4.00 for 1/2 inch and $5.00 for 1 inch. Key fobs for $5.00. What should I charge for snap clips and clippies with appliques??

Any help is greatly appreciated!

And I'm a MAJOR procrastinator, so I'm still working on lots of stuff.

I did a craft fair on base and it was awful! Nobody even showed up. I will never do another one on base. Your prices sound on point. Good luck and please let us know it goes!

Awww! That sucks! I know this isn't even really advertised. It was only $10 for a table, which I thought wasn't bad at all. Most craft shows around here start at like $100 and there are hardly ever any. I really don't like this area

I guess it will be good experience I'll just stay positive and not get so stressed about not having a ton of stuff.

yeah, it was poorly advertised, the table was 15.00. And that is about how many people showed up.

I have been told to price items for $4.95 instead of $5.00 because people will buy more for $4.95. So, this is how I priced.

3 inch bows $4.95
4 inch $5.95

1/2 inch headbands for $5
1 inch headbands $6

plain clippies for $1.00 each
embellished clippies $2.00 each

I had some other clippie sets (set of 6) for $10

Just try and enjoy yourself! Even if it turns out not so good you atleast have one show under your belt and you will not be so nervous next time.

Take pictures and let us know what happens!!!!

Wishing you the best!!!

Angelia

SO how'd it go? The big craft show I do here is in Sept. It's like 4 days long. I have always priced my bows a tad higher than what they are online for that because I figure they are saving on shipping. Plus, by the 4th day, I discount them too. This year I think I'll just keep them what they are online since all other things are going up (gas, etc)!

I'm wondering how it went too!

My very first sale ever was this utter and complete bust because the coordinator scheduled it on a beautiful Packer Sunday. I literally saw about 5 people.

but it was the best show ever. I learned my set up, had lots of time to tweak, go over things, and just work out my gitters.

I hope yours was a good success, but even if it wasnt, sometimes those ones that are a bust are the best prep for future shows! Every show has taught me something new!

There was only like 15 craft vendors. There was maybe 40 people who walked by. So, my ratio of people who walked by and who bought was actually good. I only made about $40 though. I got a lot of compliments which was nice and most people took my card. I was also told by quite a few people that I'm the only one in the area with my type of items.

Apparently they were having some big inspection on base and the commander made the people running the craft show take down all of the signs advertising it. So basically no one even knew about it. It was supposed to be from 10-4. Most people, including me, took down their stuff at like 1:30. It was getting windy and things were blowing over.

It only cost $10 for a table. If was anyone more, I wouldn't have been very happy. Most shows in the area start at like $100 for 10x10 space. My boyfriend took some pictures with his cell phone, if they're clear I will post them later. I used ladybugmoms idea with the easels and large black poster boards. I also got a lot of compliments on my set up.
