Our 1st Open House!!!

HI everyone,

My friend and I finally had our first Open House to "launch" our business. It was a poor turnout, considering the # of invitees, but for the # of people that came, I think we did OK. We still have a little ways to go to make back the $ we put in, but I think we'll be able to do that. Some of our friends volunteered to have bow parties, so that's a great opportunity to make that other money, so we can break even and start to see some profit!

Overall, we made almost $400 in 3 hours with only 13 people attending. I think that's decent.

Thanks everyone! It's funny, b/c everyone thought our clippie displays were flowers too, but we kinda thought of them as lollipops! Our business name is "Oh How Sweet Bowtique", so that's why we thought of those displays as lollipops!!!

They're very easy to make too! I had leftover cake plates (cardboard) and we covered them with some leftover fabric and others with construction paper. I taped a dowel rod on the back and then covered that side too. We stuck them into some felt covered floral foam blocks and that was it! Easy and an easy way to store and show off the clippies!
