Oh no! I just saw that on the news the other day. We are setting up for the garage sale this week and I told my hubby. He was like "great, this starts and now we have to park outside in the driveway this week." We are going to make sure that we grab our garage door openers when we get out. I have a terrible habit of leaving my purse in the car overnight, so I am going to have to stop that. (of course, then I have the terrible habit of leaving the purse in the house when I leave- I know, I am an airhead about that kind of stuff.)

I hope that they didn't get away with too much.

Guess what they got away with...my purse. But it was inside the house! Long story short...purse was found along with a duffel bag that belongs to a GVSU girls basketball player on the roof of an industrial building on the NW side of GR. Of course, money gone, drivers license gone, one credit card gone, my PLANNER () gone. But hey, the good news, my new bottle of OPI nail polish was still there, lol!

I know this is a spendy option, but I do have 2 registers since I run my children's consignment sale. Actually, I need to have more registers for the Fall Sale... Anyhow, the registers are 99 (I think) at Sams. They lock, store tax info, etc.

You can also buy a money box at Walmart. I think they are 10-ish bucks or so. It'll be in the office supply area (I think). We have one of those that we use too.

I agree... folks will do the distraction thingy in order to steal. It's hard to watch out for that. I also have people hit me up for money all the time. This happens every month in Canton. I don't know if I look exceptionally stupid or if it's something about Canton.
