Default Flea Market

Would you lower prices for them?

Maybe a little...depends if you're prices are currently high enough that you wouldn't be losing money.

Lower prices can hurt you, people that may already buy your items will see that they are lower and might be upset because they paid more for something. Also if you lower your prices and direct people to a website/etsy and the prices are higher they wont be likely to buy from there since they got it cheaper before.

IMO I wouldn't and I haven't but after going to one for a weekend at the start of football season and then for one day in early Nov.the first time was awesome I sold out of a lot of things before my second day and the last time I had the worst experience. The only reason being people complaining the prices were to high. One lady even had the nerve to try and slip a price tag off in front of me and pay less. I might go back before Christmas but I doubt it. People are looking for cheap bargins and I don't have those. idk maybe the second time was just a bad crowd.
Either way don't sell yourself short!!!!

I wouldn't! We keep our prices the same no matter where we are. I would suggest just doing deals. You could do some of these:

Buy one get one half off
Buy two get one half off
2 for $_____ (slightly lower price than what two would normally be)
3 for $_____ (same as above but with 3 instead)

You could even try "spend $____ and get a free clippie" or something....

Never, ever, ever...This is the reason we don't do swap meets or flea markets...By lowering your prices you are cheapening your "brand". Even if you aren't doing this as a full time business you still have to think that you spent X amount of time making the item...X amount of time packing/loading/unloading/setting up/tearing down for this event and X amount for your booth fees.

It all adds up very quickly, and even if you lower your prices the odds are that you'll still have people trying to bargain you down on your prices.

Girl let me tell ya something about flea markets....they aren't a great market for homemade items. I've had an inside booth at our big flea market for two years and it's tough sometimes. I hear every weekend "those are too high". whoopdi doo. People generally are looking for a cheap price on everything. Most would rather buy a $1 china bow than a $3 homemade one.

On another hand, I do pretty good with my prices. There are still people out there who would rather get quality products....you just have to hope you find them. For the first time you do it, don't change your prices...test them out and see how they do, you can always lower/up them if you need to. I agree try to do some deals (especially with Christmas around the corner) if you see they aren't selling too well. People usually go for the deals
