~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I've signed up for my first craft show in October. I plan on selling hair bows and clips as well as some carved things my husband has made. I was wondering if anyone has any tips for me as I have no experience at all. Also if anyone has pics of their craft shows displays from which I could draw some inspiration. I'm already work on building my stock up but I have no idea how I'm going to display it all.
TIA!
Default Several good ideas
Some good ideas for craft show:
6. CRAFT SHOW CASH...ESSENTIAL DO'S AND DON'TS
By the way, talking about inventory, how about the minibow clips below? The 1st picture is 1.25" snap clips, the 2nd one is 1.75" alligator clips. I can send you some (say 10 or 15 each color) to sell on the show. For each one sold, you pay me $0.5. If not sold, you return them to me. You risk is less than $10 (shipping cost from me to you and your return shipping). Deal? Please let me know (you may want to consult some craft show experts because I have no clue how much these clips worth at the show).
Thanks.
Awesome links! Thanks!
I'm going to PM you tomorrow about your clips when I have some more time, I think they would be a great seller.
Default Alternative to grid panel
I checked the price of grid panel, too expensive if you only use it a couple of times a year. I have an idea, not sure if it's doable.
see image below. Suppose it's a piece of thick fabric/canvas, set eyelets as shown, thread rope/cord to mimic the grid. Don't need the vertical grid. You can hang bow holder or what you want to hang. It's light weight, portable and less expensive.
That's an awesome idea! So far my only other idea has been to get some wooden lattice and make a frame for it and then somehow attach ribbon to hang the bows from. The problem with that is I have a small car so it's not really that portable for me. But if I have tons of bows I'm going to need something bigger than my car anyway.
I'm planning on taking a tent so hanging canvas from it would probably be fairly easy, I'm going to look into that.
Thanks michelle those are really great links, I'm debating wheather I should sign up for up for a craft fair in nov. I have never done one before and I'm still kind of new at bowmaking. I was wondering how do you know how much to make, how many bows would I need for a two day show.
I read somewhere someone said around 400 bows. I think it's hard to gauge if you've never been there before. So I figure what I get done I get done.
