Wow, that's awesome.

By headbands do you mean the knit ones with a bow attached or the plastic ones wrapped in ribbon, if so I guess I should learn how to do that.

In a bow group I am in, this girl had a two day show and sold $1300.00 worth of stuff. WOW! Good luck!

Hi Sarah,

May I ask how much you charge for bug bows? I'm considering selling bug bows locally.

Thanks.

sara,
If you could post her ebay id would be nice, I like to learn how to make those. I really wish I had an embroidery machine, I think it just gives it a nice touch with the headbands.

If you want her ebay id, let me know! I bought the fabric covered headband instructions from another woman and they are awesome also!PS- Fabric covered headband instructions are NO SEW!!
Sarah
Please post her ID Sarah. I'd like to contact her to see if we can get some discount since we are a large group now.

And about the fabric covered headband instruction, I saw it on one of Singer's book at library--cover the headband, clip and fold to back and glue. Then glue a stripe of ribbon/trim to cover the back.

I have signed up for the "Possum Hollow" arts and crafts festival. (It is correctly pronounced "Holler" here in Georgia...) Don't laugh...I live in Georgia, remember!!!!! They said over 15,000 people attended last year. I am not sure how to proceed with inventory...any clues?
Oh wow! That is a lot of people. I wouldn't even know where to start. I would think at least 1,000 bows. I would probably say take as many as you can possibly fit into the space they allow you to have. Plus backups to refill when stuff is sold.

I am hoping to do my 1st trade days(as they are referred to here in TX) in mid October. It's a 2 day thing and there are a lot of vendors with all kinds of stuff. I don't recall seeing hair bows sold just some halos...a girls hair was wrapped up in them and they sat on their heads. It was a big hit considering it was in the hi 90's and the lil girls here have long long hair. Granted I didnt go to the indoor vendors so there very well could have been hair bows. I'm not sure how many ppl attend this trade days, maybe I'll call and ask. I am clueless as well as to how many of each I should take. I know high school colors do very well here and that is about all I know, lol. Still new to town tho hubby grew up here.
I look forward to hearing what everyone else has to say on this topic.

Default i did one

I did one craft show and it wasn't a good thing. I primarily make the bows for my daughter but at the time I was thinking about a business. The whole craft show did poorly, it cost us $20 to get in and total we sold 1 thing for $1.50. It was really disappointing. I hope you do really well

I think that it has to be the right time and place. What population of people are around and how long that craftfair has been around. Also, how well the fair is promoted. They are not all like that. DO NOT GET DISCOURAGED!! IT CAN BE A GOOD THING! and fun too!!

Please forgive me if posted in wrong area.

Need help and/or suggestions on how to display hairbows in craft show. Have a 10x10 area, pop up tent and no Idea how to display hairbows(tons of them) also have purses and fashion jewelry.

I saw a picture somewhere on web showing hairbow displayed under tent, if anyone knows the url please send it to me.

Thanks in advance
